Cross-stepping at Cross-overs

So the homies decided to go to crossovers today. Tinch, myself, and gromy TJ (who rips by the way) to partake in a logular adventure of the nasal origin. Coatesy was kind enough to sit this one out and snag some epic photos. Enjoy, and happy sliding...

Some photos from my good buddy Keith

Keith Novosol sent me these rad photos not too long ago, but since the blog was down, this is the first chance I've had of getting them up. There are a few of Balinda just killing. I wish I lived in AUS! Enjoy.

My apologies

Sorry for the down time folks. Apparently my site-counter was causing pop-ups. I took it off and hopefully now it will run smoothly. Again, sorry for the problem. (hopefully you were sliding instead of reading this!!)

Noise Making Conference Preview

The Pearl hosted a few bands as they made their way down to Miami for the annual Noise Making Conference. I was able to snap just a few photos before the camera battery died.

But basically take everything you have ever thought about music and throw it off a seventeen story building. The noise it makes when it hits the ground is what was ejected out of the speakers the other night. There were bands playing eletronic loops (really rad!), beating on random objects that screetched as they broke under the pummeling, and even animal sounds mixed together and looped.

All in all, it was an experience...but I think Ill just keep listening to the Mattson Two and Sunbears!

Thank you Erica!

Here are a few photos that Erica Burtrum sent me from a sliding session at Cardiff a few weeks ago. There first photo is of her friend Trevor Jones and the second is of her boyfriend on a freight train. Enjoy those hulls!

Im getting grumpy!

Well I havent surfed in around 30 days right now... and well, it's really getting to me. There are either no waves and it's freezing or I have to work. But to cure this wanted to try something new.

If you are reading this and have recent photos from your logging sessions, send me the photos, I would like to post them. This way at least I know someone is getting stoked!

..Ok, so its been awhile

... and I'm sorry about that. The holidays are crazy and well, travel catches up with you. But I hope that everyone had a fantastic New Years and Christmas.

Anyeays, a buddy from down under, Simon, sent me this photo of his log quiver. I just wanted to share it with everyone else. Its not everyday (especially here in Floria) that you see someone sliding an eleven foot plus balsa from none other than Tom Wegner... Enjoy everyone.

Oldest City Productions

My good friend and fellow aquaholic Chris Tincher has started up a blog along with a few of the other local loggers and skaters to bring you a little more insight into St. Augustine.. Check it out. There are some really good videos on it already, not to mention this little gem here of local shaper/artistan Ken White... Enjoy.

Musically Magic

So last night Kevin had a bunch of bands come out to the factory and just let it all hang out for a few hours. It started around 5 and lasted well into the night. Unfortunately I missed most of the jam session, but I was able to capture a few images of the stoke that was in full effect.

Surfing is an art form just like painting, pottery, and music. We all express ourselves in different ways; we might not all surf, and we might not all play music. But the commmon ground between us all is that when we do what we love, we smile, we enjoy life, and we love the moment. And thats what life is about. Enjoy.

Appreciation

Just got back from the HQ of stoke, and Im pretty happy with how Kat's board turned out. Her drawing is rad. In fact, it actually looks like a sticker it is so clean. She is an amazing artist. Anways, without further ramblings... take a peek.

Black Pearl Creations is back (...and better than ever)

Well Kevin finally got the new factory up and running full speed, and it is way rad. I have so many photos of the wierd, wacky, and incredible liquid slope navigating vehicles that he is about to start putting out. Just check this 5'0" Bonzer-Egg thing that was just finished. Its for one of his good buddies, and man that resin tint is nice. Same color as my truck! Stay tuned, because a lot heart and soul will be coming out of this factory very soon. Ill be sure to keep you updated...
